Status of India in early 1800s

Here is an opinion on “Status of India in 1834″ right from the key source. We all know how tough was life for people in India by 1930s.

This is another testimony of how within a span of 100 years itself, an new wave, idea can be made and marketed to be so powerful and how world powership can be obtained within a span of 40~60 years.

For those interested in more on this topic might want to read a very good and well-written book on ‘Socio-Econo-Political History of Recent India’ under the title “India Unbound” by Gurcharan Das.

Enjoy.

Learning the Hard Way

More often than not, we all tend to learn most tough things in our lives, the hard way. i.e. from our own mistakes. The proverbial "Learning for other's mistakes" is is easier said than done.

Why's that ? We have to make mistakes on our own before we strongly feel to take necessary steps to avoid anything similar in future. The fire to take proactive steps and have the discipline to NOT make basic mistakes generally comes from within. i.e. from the potbelly of our own memories of nemesis, misery and nightmarish experiences of what we went through when we made our own share of mistakes.

It takes some of our own share of mistakes, to learn the good habits of not repeating them again. "Learning for other's mistakes" certainly is smarter, stay-ahead way to achieve things in life. And it makes a lot of sense but we all know what's common sense is seldom a common practice.

Failure works as feedback, at it's best. Just think through your failures and not-so-good experiences through a "self-less" self-reflection and you will get the best feedback in the world.

Take Care.
